A fully complete car, with details of specifications and pricing has yet to be disclosed. However, this has not stopped 400,000 reservations of the electric car being made.  Production of which begins mid 2017.  Should you order a car now, Tesla estimate delivery in mid 2018.

In a tweet, Tesla boss Elon Musk responded to a question about a final Model 3 reveal, replying with simply “July”.

Various test cars have snapped, yet little is still known about the interior of the car, described by Musk as “Like a spaceship”.  Sight of a completed car will finally put rumours to bed and enable eager reservation holders to ‘build’ their car in ‘Design Studio’ which is expected to launch in July too.

Tesla recently clarified the positioning of the BMW 3-series rival, describing Model 3 as

“it isn’t “Version 3” or the next generation Tesla. Our higher priced premium models still include the most advanced technology and the best driving experience we have to offer…. Model 3 is smaller, simpler, and will come with far fewer options than Model S, but it makes driving feel effortless and offers a good range of at least 215 miles for our starting model.”
