NEW VIDEO: NIO EP9 – the world’s fastest autonomous car

Not satisfied with breaking the electric car record lapping the Nürburgring in 7.05minutes, the stunning NIO EP9 is how the fastest autonomous car.

The EP9 lapped the Circuit of the Americas racetrack in Austin, Texas in 2 minutes 40.33 seconds – without a driver and hit 160mph – making the most of the mind blowing 1,342hp delivered through four electric motors.

With a driver behind the wheel, the car lapped the track in 2 minutes 11.30 seconds, and reached 170 mph. NIO also claim the car could achieve 194 mph with a range of 265miles.
