Sharing a similar appearance to the F-PACE, this new models concept specification carried enough hints to suggest there was something different about this Jaguar – with “Electric” blue accents running down the sides and short nose where you would traditionally find a vast V8.
Little has been revealed about the production specification of the Tesla chaser, yet this hasn’t stopped a reported 350 deposits being laid down.
Expect a 90kWh lithium-ion battery pack, returning an estimated 310miles – calculated using the NEDC method, powering dual electric motors (one front, one rear) with 400PS on tap and 700Nm of instant torque.
Ian Callum, Director of Design, has previously said of the I-PACE:
“The I-PACE Concept represents the next generation of electric vehicle design. It’s a dramatic, future-facing cab-forward design with a beautiful interior – the product of authentic Jaguar DNA, electric technology and contemporary craftsmanship.”
The arrival of the I-PACE in Geneva should also signal the announcement of more details of the car, which is set for launch in 2018.
