Dutch firm – The New Motion – expands electric vehicle charging network to the UK

The New Motion, a leading provider of intelligent charging solutions, is expanding its network of EV charge points to the United Kingdom.

Being the market leader in The Netherlands, The New Motion brings along years of experience from the Dutch market -a front runner in Europe- with advanced charging services for charge point owners and EV drivers.

The entry to the UK market is officially marked by showcasing The New Motion’s charging solutions during the Low Carbon Vehicle Event 2016 on September 14th and 15th.

With over 30,000 charge points in Europe and 75,000 registered charge card users, The New Motion has the most widespread charge network and continues to expand its international charging infrastructure.

Sander van der Veen, Country Manager UK, The New Motion commented on the expansion;

“In the United Kingdom we see a growing interest in electric vehicles (EV), with currently 1.5% of new cars to market being EVs. Although it’s nowhere near Holland’s 10% share, the growth we see is encouraging for everyone.

Therefore, we are delighted to introduce our full range of charging solutions during the Low Carbon Vehicle Event 2016 in September at the Millbrook Proving Ground.”

Since its inception, The New Motion has played a pioneering role in the market; offering intelligent solutions for owners of electric vehicles and national and multi-national companies.

All its activities are aimed at facilitating drivers of (Plug-in Hybrid) EV’s to drive electric miles as much as possible, using renewable energy sources where feasible.

Intelligent charging services such as management of charge points via an online user portal, insight into charging activities and CSR relevant data, automatic reimbursement of the charging costs of guest users or employees as well as The New Motion app all provide clear added value to the customers of The New Motion.
