Mahindra e20 – REVIEW

Guest post: Scott Edy – Business Development Manager at ChargedEV

Another electric vehicle enters the market, again from a somewhat previously unknown company, Mahindra.

This pocket sized entry, the E2O is no rocket, but exactly what it is intended to be, an inner city mobility solution. A four seater motor you can get your weekly shop into. The Mahindra E2O boasts smartphone connectivity allowing you to not only control the interior temperature of the vehicle while it’s baking in the sun outside the shopping centre or freezing in the carpark of the supermarket.

You can also lock and unlock the car from your smartphone.  It has common standards such as keyless entry and engine start, heated seats, even Touch Screen in dash infotainment and sat nav. Running Android no less.

This is a fab little car, an ideal city run around but it won’t be to everyone’s taste though. I’m not sure what’s not to like for getting from A to B on the cheap, warm and dry and not having to really worry about having to park as it’s just under 11ft long, 5ft wide and has a turning circle of less than 4m. That’s smaller than a Smart Forfour and half the turning circle!

I think you’ll be seeing a few of these in the city!
